1. Aim & Objective of the Organisation:
The aim & Objective of the Organisation is for Planning, Execution & Supervision of Development Programmes & Implementation of various schemes & works in the district of Sundargarh, keonjhar relating to drinking water supply, Sewerage and disposal system besides this. Executive Engineer is the inspector of local works of the different U.L.Bs in above two districts.
2. Mission/ Vision:
The Mission is to work for providing drinking water supply to the inhabitants of various U.L.Bs and effective disposal of sewages for achieving healthy sanitary conditions.
3. Brief History & background for its Establishment:
The office of the P.H Division, Rourkela started functioning from 1968. It was looking after the drinking water supply to rural and urban areas under Sundargarh district only. But after bifurcation of Urban and Rural areas in the year 1991. This office is looking after the water supply to urban areas only on reorganization of P.H.E.O. The U.L.Bs. Under Sundargarh & Keonjhar District come under the Jurisdiction of this Division.

2. Maintenance of water supply systems in different U.L.Bs.
3. Maintenance of sewerage system for different Government Building and colonies.
